ARDC Midgets lined up on the small paved track at OCFS in either 1947 or 1948. Notice the full 1/2 covered grandstand.
Tony Bonadies is in the # 21 and Ed "Dutch" Schaefer is in the # 62 - team cars owned by Buck Wheeler from Goshen, NY. The # 62 has been restored, and the # 21 I believe is being restored.
1947 ARDC driving champion, George Rice is shown in the Ed Bourgnon # 36 in a photo taken on the board track that was used for two racing events in the Polo Grounds.
Another shot of midgets taken at the Polo Grounds, this time, it's some NASCAR midgets ( I believe) on the asphalt track.
