OVRP Dirt Oval

Cuddebackville, NY – Wet weather ended another night of racing early at the dirt oval this
past Saturday.
The racing was going
as scheduled throughout the night with a slightly larger kart count due to surrounding
tracks beginning to close for the season. All of the heats were completed and
features had just begun. Within the first 2 classes entering the racing
surface, the rain started to come down just heavy enough to pull karts off of
the track.
Before the wet
weather arrived, the track was in excellent shape for the evening. A few
drivers did make note of how smooth the surface was. Dust was also kept down to
a minimum for the most part throughout the night with track officials
consistently blowing the dust off of the surface. In fact while watching the
track officials trying to save the track when the rains started, they would
have been very successful if the rain had let up, the vehicles running the
track in never ripped up any piece of the surface.
Octoberfest –
Formally known as Novemberfest in years past has a newly redesigned format for
2009. For those who were not in attendance Saturday you can find the

There does seem to be a conflict this year with the date with other surrounding
race tracks. Central PA Speedway will be having their big money race on the
same weekend as Octoberfest which should make for an interesting turnout at
both events.
